How did the Lady Wilma win the race to San Francisco despite running out of coal?

  5. The Sea Raven took all of the coal at one of the ports so The Lady Wilma couldn't get any. All of the coal was on the Sea Ravens deck and it weighed the ship down.

  6. They had to much coal on there boat.They took it all so the Lady Wilma could`nt get any.That was a bad idea.

  7. They passed the Sea Raven because it took all the coal and so it was to heavy. While the Lady Wilma was light and swift.
