Pretty exciting chapter, eh?  Before you dive into chapter twenty, please make a thoughtful and educated prediction about how the story will reach its climax (the climax is the turning point of a story at its point of highest tension or drama or when the action starts in which the solution is given).  Be sure to explain your reasoning.

Chapter Sixteen

Wow!  That was certainly a lot for Meagan to hear and absorb.  Instead of one specific question on this chapter, please share whatever it made you feel and think as you read and learned about Megan's family history.  Be sure to elaborate and be sure to also discuss how you think Megan should react to all of this.

Please reread, stating with the last paragraph on page 126, going through the second paragraph on page 128.  During this time, Megan has several questions concerning her as they row out to the island.  Please share your thoughts on any possible answers (and why you think what you do) to any of those questions.

Chapter Thirteen

Page 117: "'If I'm not careful I'm going to usurp your mother's right to explain things herself, the way she wants.'"

Chapter Thirteen

Page 122: "'I'm coming,' she said, then folded the mysterious birth certificate and put it into the bag with the book and her clothes to study later, wondering if the wild suspicions that coursed through her mind could possibly be true."

What do you suppose these suspicions are?  What are yours?
